Giving to Charities and Nonprofits

Every year, I try to donate some money to various charities and nonprofits I believe in. I fully admit I spend far more on coffee and DVDs than I give to charity. But that's life. I hope that what few dollars I manage to give helps a little.

Since 2010 is almost over, we don't have much time to make donations to benefit your taxes for this calendar year. I have sent checks throughout the year, but today I plan to log on to a few of these and make last-minute contributions.

I do not give to all these causes every year; as you can see many of them are military-related, so I have alternated years for some.

Also, I do not vouch for any of these charities. If you choose to give, I encourage you to do some due diligence and only give to causes you believe in.

Happy New Year!
